AGROINDUSTRY ACCOMPANIES THE FIRST EDITION OF GASTRO JAPO FOOD WEEK
Restaurants, schools and deliveries will come together to enjoy the best
gastronomic proposals this week with Argentine whitefish.

As part of the campaign "Eat fish Argentino", the Government Secretariat of
Agribusiness participate in the first edition of Gastro Japo Food Week, to
be held from 12 to 19 June and will feature 47 restaurants that offer
Japanese menus and fusion created for the occasion, as a way to present the
wealth of Japanese gastronomy with Argentine seafood and seasonal products.
The aim is to spread the traditional cuisine of Japan, to the best of our
local raw materials, among which white fish species such as sea bream,
sole, mullet, mackerel, and others. A strong bet Club Gastro Japo (which
gathers more than 90 small businesses in the gastronomic area) and THET
Studio. Together they organized this first event of mass dissemination of
Japanese cuisine in Argentina, where it also highlights seasonal food and
wealth of national fishing. This will be another good opportunity to
promote the consumption of Argentine fish and shellfish on the 19th of each
month (# el19comepescado).
The initiative is sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Argentina, the Club
Argentino Business Japanese (CNAJ), Secretary of Government of Agribusiness
of the Ministry of Production and Labor and # BACapitalGastronómica the
government program of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires .
Gastro Club Japo was born in 2018 after a group of entrepreneurs
gastronomic -small family businesses engaged in the kitchen nipona- decided
to join forces to work collaboratively. The network grew and today not only
share experiences and training providers, but also are identified by their
love for Japanese culture.
