EFFECTIVE CONTROL AND ERADICATION OF VENEREAL DISEASES IN LA PAMPA

Senasa and other institutions Coprosa dictated a course that enabled 340
private veterinarians to participate in the Provincial Program is carried

SANTA ROSA (La Pampa) - After passing the course organized by the National
Health Service and Food Quality (Senasa), together with the Provincial
Commission for Animal Health (Coprosa), 340 private veterinarians achieved
their qualification to participate in the Program Disease venereal in the
province of La Pampa.
Course organization, called "Control and eradication of venereal disease in
cattle in the province of La Pampa" also attended the provincial
Directorate of Livestock; the National Agricultural Technology Institute
(INTA), the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the National University of La
Pampa (UNLPam) and the Veterinary Medical Association of the Province.
Its development involved two stages: a meeting took place on Friday May 24
in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture in Santa Rosa, and the
other on Friday 31 May in the classroom "Ocerin" of the Faculty of
Veterinary Science, General Pico.Durante in town meetings, 340 private
veterinarians received refresher training for reaccreditation on health,
epidemiological and policy aspects of the program.
Professionals in Pampeano Regional Animal Health Center presented the
amendments to Senasa incorporated in the Integrated Management System for
Animal Health (SIGSA), according to the implementation of new diagnostic
technique software module. In this regard, it was reported that from this
year trichominiasis detecting diseases and campylobacteriosis, be done by

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) affect the reproductive ability of
breeding cattle herds for extensive livestock systems and cause severe

Pampa.
It is an agricultural and cattle province par excellence whose main
production is livestock. For this reason, in the framework of the Coprosa
and health objectives Senasa working on the Program Control and Eradication
of Cattle Venereal Diseases in La Pampa.
The Provincial Program was implemented in 2008. Since 2016, the Senasa
implemented an integrated SIGSA performing its monitoring software module,
real-time monitoring the entire process of extracting and sending samples
to laboratories by private veterinarians. Also, this software tool makes it
possible to make a traceable track (EU) production units with positive
bulls.
The module monitors daily to each of the 7,200 establishments and allows to
locate establishments that do not meet the program objectives.
Regarding the issue, the leaders of Senasa for the Program in La Pampa,
Alberto Bellada and Diego Pinto, expressed "our organization plays a key
role in processing data to monitor the prevalence of venereal diseases,
detecting the areas of greatest to begin incidence control tasks and
sanitation. "
Today with the removal of positive animals, the new computer support and
through improvements in diagnostic techniques, it is moving towards a stage
