WORKS PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTICIPATION: DIETRICH TOURED A NEW STRETCH OF HIGHWAY IN CARMEN DE ARECO
The work includes a distributor access to Gouin and runs under the Corridor
C, one of the six corridors tendered under the PPP system. It will benefit
more than 8,800 users and will demand more than $ 288 million investment.
In addition, it will be part of the highway between Luján and Junín that
the national government is building on the RN 7.

Transport Minister Guillermo Dietrich today visited the locality of Carmen
de Areco where they are building 4 km highway and a new distributor in the
junction with access to Gouin (RP 31) under the system of public-private
participation. The work will connect with Highway 7 RN-Junín Luján once
completed will be part of Corridor C which includes more than 770 km of
this route in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza and Santa Fe.
"We are moving forward with this work within the framework of PPP and many
others in the country started building under this new system. In addition,
since the beginning of management, with a strong commitment of President
Macri behind us, we are working to transform the highway from Route 7 to
Junín Luján. By the end of this year or early next year and we will have
completed 140 km of a new, modern, safer highway. The transformation we are
doing is very deep. Are doing works that were never made and we must
continue on this path to further advance the country's development, "said
Guillermo Dietrich, Minister of Transport of the Nation.
The project is implemented by the company Andes Vial 7 by the
administration and development of Corridor C. The proposed works will
promote trade and development of agriculture, industry and tourism. It will
reduce by 92% the cost of transportation between Buenos Aires and Mendoza
and will save three hours of travel and trucks coming to Chile.
Currently, the Ministry of Transport, through National Roads Authority, has
launched the construction of 97 km of Junín Luján-Highway. Running sections
are developed from San Andres de Giles to Carmen de Areco from Chacabuco
and Junin. They will add 31 km of motorway between Luján and Giles SA,
completed in March 2016.
"The progress of this important work for neighbors is a clear demonstration
that we are on the right track. Thanks to the joint work of public and
private sector are beginning to reverse the deficit accumulated over years
of wasteful and shortsighted infrastructure, "remarked Patricia Gutiérrez,
General Administrator of the National Highway.
The new highway will significantly reduce the number of accidents on the RN
7 and eliminate the possibility of frontal crashes. The project will link
fast, direct and secure to neighboring towns like Carmen de Areco,
Chacabuco, Junin, Luján and San Andres de Giles manner.
New motorway network and Safe Routes
The first stage of PPP projects is an initiative by the Ministry of
Transport, through National Roads Authority, which included the tender six
corridors -A, B, C, E, F and South- along more than 3,300 km of national
highways in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, La Pampa, Mendoza and Santa Fe.
The process was attended by 10 -compounds consortia by 19 domestic
companies and 7 international- who presented a total of 32 offers. The
estimated first stage investment exceeds U $ S 8000000000, of which U $ S
6000 will be disbursed over the first four years.
Under the program also works in Carmen de Areco for the Corridor C, in
December last year began the transformation into highway stretch
Mercedes-Suipacha RN 5. The works are executed by the company CCA-Green B
and develop as part of Corridor work plan B.
In February, meanwhile, it launched construction of the first stretch of
9.5 km of highway Cañuelas-Blue (RN 3), corresponding to the variant of
Cañuelas. The works are part of the Southern Corridor and are in charge of
the company AUSUR SA.
Similarly, in March it began the transformation into highway 2 km from the
RN 3 to the height of the town of Las Flores. The project is developed by
the company Cruz del Sur and is part of Corridor A.
