IT GREW ALMOST 23 PERCENT OF FOREIGN TOURISTS ARRIVING BY AIR

The measurement corresponds to the first two months of the year and covers
all the country's airports. One out of four tourists arriving from Europe.

arrivals of foreign tourists to Argentina by air to airports across the
country grew 22.8 percent in January and February compared to the same
period last year, according to data released today by the INDEC and
Ministry of Tourism of the Nation. A total of 572,078 arrivals, 506,370
correspond to Ezeiza and Aeroparque (with an annual rise of 19.2 percent),
while 65,708 were recorded in the rest of the country's airports (increase
of 60.8 percent compared 2018). The second month of 2019 was the best
February the last seven years in terms of tourist arrivals by air, with
232,800 arrivals, representing a growth of 18.8 percent. "Air connectivity
for both we struggle is bearing results. With an incomparable tourist offer
that has nature as one of its main attractions, Argentina has established
itself as a tourist destination. Tourism is growing and holds positions
genuine and sustainable jobs, "said Secretary of Tourism of Argentina,
Gustavo Santos. Of the total arrivals in that month, 25 per cent are
tourists arriving from Europe, while 14 percent of arrivals has its origin
in the United States and Canada. Revenues by air from Brazil and Chile
represent 16 percent of the total in each case. The annual growth of
arrivals from the neighboring country was 65.1 percent, the highest of the
series February. Survey of International Tourism (ETI) prepared by the
INDEC, the average stay of foreign tourists arrived at Ezeiza or Aeroparque
was 14 nights and nearly half of the arrivals was on holiday / leisure.
Resident tourists in Europe accounted for 37 percent of the overnights.
