A MOCK-MOUTH DISEASE WILL BE HELD IN THE PROVINCE OF ENTRE RIOS
The practice field is a suitable tool for reviewing and verification
systems operative to carry out effective care of an outbreak of the disease.

Buenos Aires - From 11 to 15 November, the National Health Service and Food
Quality (Senasa) conducted a mock attention of an outbreak of FMD in
Concepción del Uruguay, province of Entre Rios.
"This type of exercise allows us to be exercising practices early focus
attention detected from disease or any other disease, and helps us to
detect possible flaws to correct and strengths of the system," said
National Director of Animal Health Senasa Matias Nardello.
The activity will be held at the Agricultural Experimental Station of the
National Agricultural Technology Institute (INTA) theoretical-practical and
will feature more than 80 people, including professionals Senasa, team
members health emergencies, security forces, staff of institutions and
organizations involved in the subject, and specialists in the disease in
the Southern Cone.
The simulation exercise diseases through practice field, is an appropriate
tool to review systems, check the operating, incorporating corrections and
develop the skills needed to carry out effective care of a contingency,
delimit, control, eradicate it and consequently restore the previous
situation in the shortest possible time.
Following the presentation of the year; the complaint will be simulated,
focus immediate attention, the procedures for each emergency team members;
training roles; and legal rights and obligations for producers and industry
intervention.
In addition to the discussion of the day's work, will be held applying
concepts of epidemiology diagram roadblocks and roads, operative, sampling,
diagnosis, confirmation of the disease and communications, the relationship
with other actors in the production chain, the final discussion and
conclusions of the exercise.
The realization of such training exercises is essential to strengthen the
epidemiological surveillance system of Senasa.
