AGRICULTURE DRIVES THE HORTICULTURAL BUILDING IN SAN LUIS
Infrastructure improvements and purchase of equipment to increase
production and competitiveness of more than 350 small regional producers
departments of the province.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation with the
portfolio of Health and Social Development and Entrepreneurship San Luis
Foundation, delivered 3,600 materials over 350 small producers in San Luis
for the construction of 89 greenhouses for production vegetables. Works
improve performance and production quality through local value added and
job creation by encouraging the taking of the Pueyrredón, Pringles, San
Martin, Chacabuco, Ayacucho, Junín, Pedernera Belgrano and departments.
The project had a total funding of $ 2.334000 via Program "Bootstrap" the
Ministry of Health and Social Development. It was developed and implemented
by the Ministry of Family Agriculture, Territorial Coordination and
Development, by James Hardie, through its technicians in territory
belonging to the San Luis Coordination.
In this sense, the undersecretary of Family Agriculture and Regional
Development, Felipe Crespo, said that "this project benefits both producers
and consumers by promoting future growth, diversification of production and
sale of fresh produce."
With the delivery of materials, including: poles, wire, shovels, tanks of
1100 liters, hoses, belts, leggings anti hail, accessories for irrigation
installation, installation of 89 greenhouses is improved by launching the
first of the three stages of the initiative, which will have a term of two
years and continue training and production cycles; and value added and
marketing. The action was advised of the provincial technical coordination
by Federico Trombotto who accompany producers at all stages of the project.
Thus the diversification of beneficiaries, who are mainly cattle breeders
with marketing underpin vegetables.
