TRAINING SEMINAR FOR STUDENTS OF THE HIGHER TECHNICIAN IN AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT

technical-sanitary and administrative role of the local office of Senasa
and prevention of zoonoses explained.

Chivilcoy (Buenos Aires) - The National Health Service and Food Quality
(Senasa) conducted a new briefing to tertiary students of 2nd year of the
Higher Technician in Agricultural Management at the headquarters of the
Higher Institute of Teacher Training of the town of Florentino Ameghino.
The exhibition and organization of audiovisual content, was in charge of
Inés Gobbini, veterinary Senasa in Ameghino, jurisdiction of Pampeano
Regional Center, who described the powers and responsibilities of the
Agency throughout the country and then focused on prevention efforts and
hygienic control -sanitario, carried out by the local office of Senasa in
the jurisdiction of said Buenos Aires province.
Gobbini emphasized the value and importance of interaction, given through
the "single window" between producers and health officials, when, for
example, advice on specific topics, perform monitoring or controls field,
put in running a vaccination campaign, enabling transport of animals or
food substances or register your field in RENSPA, among other actions.
Finally the Senasa referred to the main zoonosis found in the region and
described the ways to prevent and control them according to each disease,
by producers, food processors and consumers.
Students had the opportunity to consult and answer questions about the
different actions of Senasa some of which are linked to their relatives
Agency professionals.
