A SCIENTIFIC EVENING WHICH BROUGHT TOGETHER SIX THOUSAND PEOPLE
Saturday November 2, the C3 was part of the cultural program "The Night of
Museums" with various activities for the public.

A great night lived the Cultural Center C3 Science on Saturday 2nd November
with the participation of six thousand people. As part of the "Night of
Museums" C3 specially designed various activities simultaneously for all
age groups, who approached science from art, programming, literature and
curiosity, always curious. One night in which the public chose the C3 to
have fun.
In the auditorium, in "Sleepless for science" researchers and research
subjects showed guests that disclosed in their research field as Dr.
physics at the Institute of Astronomy and Space Physics (UBA-CONICET),
Rodrigo Diaz; Doctor in Psychology from INECO, María Roca Foundation; The
Bachelor of Computer Science of the UBA, Gonzalo Zabala; Doctor in Physics
Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of the CNEA, Dr. Laura Steren
and Biological Sciences Institute of Physiology, Molecular Biology and
Neurosciences (IFIBYNE) UBA-CONICET, Edith Kordon. With musical
performances and audiovisual projections programmer and musician, Pablo
Riera.
Simulating in the laboratory and the sea, "the sea Zoom" and the leading
role of the oceans developed. With the participation of the visiting
public, co-pilot experiments conducted in some ocean fish tanks
representing the world to know how they work so indirectly-from the warm
and cold currents, salt and temperature. In addition, human impact, which
surprisingly turns over 8 million tons of plastic into the ocean. In other
tables, through microscopes, you could observe microscopic life and fauna
that hides the seabed.
While in the classroom workshop, "Movement in water: creation, editing and
action", an artistic activity by illustrator Juan Puerto, invited the boys
to continue immersing himself in aquatic life but this time, through the
stop motion. A space that sought to create collages in bits of video. In
the library, "wild Literature", with John Plant ciberartista, who recounted
performáticamente the universe of high voltage fanzine, which included a
fair of small publishers, experimental music, comic shows, and more. A trip
to the center of the fanzine.
In another classroom, "Arcades and robots" workshop, coordinated by Gonzalo
Zabala, invited the public to play with robots and learn the other side of
video games like Pac-man, schedule collaboratively.
In addition, "Lugar a Dudas" always convener with its many proposals, one
better than the other, to share with family and friends; "PUPS" (Small
poetic universes), poems under the umbrella; "IRIS", an interactive
intervention that explores movement and sound from a visual and acoustic
perspective, by the Laboratory of Acoustics and Sound Perception (period)
of the National University of Quilmes; a room dedicated to the work done by
scientists and scientific IBioBA - CONICET - MPSP; 360º video experience,
by documentary CONICET team, to learn where national scientists working in
different parts of the country; and much more.
The Cultural Center of Science opens its doors from Friday to Sunday from
13 to 19.30. The C3 is located in Godoy Cruz 2270, Buenos Aires. Entrance
is free and open. Entries are removed from 1 hour before activity. Except
