En la actualidad se puede finalizar el trámite iniciado por autogestión en las oficinas del Lazareto Capital, aeroparque "Jorge Newbery" (también sábados por la mañana), terminal portuaria de Buquebús en CABA, aeropuertos de San Fernando y El Palomar, en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, aeropuerto de Córdoba y oficinas del Senasa en Córdoba Capital y en Santa Fe. Características del microchipA partir del 1° de octubre de 2018 el Servicio Veterinario de Uruguay requiere a quienes ingresen con su perro la identificación individual de su mascota con un dispositivo electrónico (microchip) que debe cumplir con las normas ISO 11784 y aplicar tecnología HDX o FDH-B. El mismo se leerá con un lector compatible con la norma ISO 11785. En caso de que el dispositivo colocado no cumpla con las normas precedentes, el responsable deberá proveer de un lector que permita la lectura del microchip para ingresar en Uruguay. Para tener en cuenta al viajar a UruguayEl CVI tiene una vigencia de 60 días. En ese tiempo se puede para ir y volver de Uruguay las veces que se desee. Durante esos 60 días debe estar vigente para perros los certificados de leshmaniasis y de vacunación antirrábica. Si se realiza el viaje en auto a Brasil y se pasa por Uruguay, hay que contar con un CVI y cumplir con los requisitos que solicitan tanto Brasil como Uruguay para el ingreso de mascotas. No es necesario llevar al perro o gato el día que se concurra al Senasa. En el caso de los perros es suficientes con el ejemplar original y una copia del certificado de la identificación del animal por microchip. Desde que el veterinario privado entrega la documentación que solicita el país oriental, hay 10 días para concurrir al Senasa a realizar el trámite.
