Por su parte, el Ministro de Defensa, Agustín Rossi, pronunció: "Nunca lleguen a pensar que lo que hagan ustedes no importa, al contrario, la Institución funciona como resultante final del trabajo y de la carrera de cada uno de los integrantes de la misma; y la Institución y la República Argentina han confiado en ustedes; y ustedes se han ganado esa confianza y hoy reciben su espadas de guardiamarinas". También agregó: "Han elegido una carrera que exige muchísima generosidad y muchísimo compromiso. Han elegido bien la Institución para servir a la Patria; los militares son los únicos que juran servir a la Patria hasta dar la vida si fuese necesario, y eso los hace distintos en el compromiso, dedicación y esfuerzo. Compromiso, esfuerzo y dedicación que tuvieron los 44 submarinistas que siempre recordamos y que hace poco el Presidente de la Nación produjo su ascenso Post Mortem al grado de inmediato superior". También entregó el premio "Presidente de la Nación" a quienes obtuvieron el mayor promedio académico: por Comando Naval lo recibió el Guardiamarina Gabriel Schauvinhold, por Infantería de Marina el Guardiamarina Cristian Battaglia y por Cuerpo Profesional Intendencia la Guardiamarina Micaela Altamiranda.
