"En este espacio se definió la entrega de productos alimentarios y de limpieza para el abastecimiento por 20 días de 265 personas", explicó la subsecretaria de Promoción de Derechos Humanos, Natalia Barreiro. Además, se acordó brindar un subsidio habitacional por única vez, en el marco de la emergencia por el Covid-19. Las familias beneficiarias, incluidas en el relevamiento que realizó la Dirección, ya comenzaron a recibir la asistencia en sus domicilios. En tanto, el Ministerio de Desarrollo Social de la Nación se comprometió a atender la situación de 200 afroargentinxs y afrodescendientes en situación de emergencia de todo el territorio nacional. "Estamos trabajando para que las políticas sociales frente a la emergencia sanitaria lleguen a la población migrante, en particular de origen africano y extra MERCOSUR que, como la población afroargentina, han sido históricamente excluidas y discriminadas por consecuencia del racismo estructural", explicó el director Nacional de Pluralismo e Interculturalidad para Afroargentinxs, migrantes y refugiadxs, Carlos Álvarez Nazareno.
