[English-Español] FREDERIC DESIGNA A ENRIQUE FONT COMO RECTOR DEL INSTITUTO UNIVERSITARIO DE SEGURIDAD MARÍTIMA

Appoints Frederic Henry Font as rector of the University Institute of Maritime Security Minister of National Security, Sabina Frederic, along with Secretary of Security and Criminal Policy, Eduardo Villalba, met with Enrique Font and formalized his appointment as rector of the University Institute of Maritime Security (IUSM). As a first line of action, the new rector of the IUSM expressed intentions to follow the recommendations of the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU) made to the Institute in its latest assessment. Frederic designa a Enrique Font como rector del Instituto Universitario de Seguridad Marítima La ministra de Seguridad de la Nación, Sabina Frederic, junto con el secretario de Seguridad y Política Criminal, Eduardo Villalba, se reunieron con Enrique Font y oficializaron su designación como rector del Instituto Universitario de Seguridad Marítima (IUSM). martes 21 de abril de 2020 El encuentro contó con la presencia de la subsecretaria de Formación y Carrera, Karina Mouzo, las directoras nacionales de Ingreso y Carrera, Soledad Mangiavillano, y de Formación y Entrenamiento, Alina Ríos, el jefe de gabinete de la Secretaría de Seguridad, Claudio Suárez, el Prefecto Nacional Mario Farinón y el Subprefecto Nacional Jorge Raúl Bono, el vicerrector del Instituto Sergio Silva y el Director de Educación de la Prefectura Naval Argentina, Prefecto General Carlos Barrios Cardozo. En primer lugar, tanto la titular de la Cartera como todos los representantes del Ministerio le dieron la bienvenida a Font a quien se le reconoció por su trayectoria en el terreno académico y de la Seguridad. El flamante rector es abogado, criminólogo y con amplia trayectoria tanto en el ámbito académico, como en la gestión pública y en organismos de derechos humanos nacionales e internacionales. Por su parte, Font presentó a una parte de su nuevo equipo de trabajo, compuesto por Alicia Rapacioli, secretaria académica del Instituto, Susana Segovia, secretaria de posgrados, Pablo Meza, Secretario de Investigación y Lautaro Pedot, Subsecretario de Extensión Universitaria. Como primeras líneas de acción, el nuevo rector del IUSM manifestó las intenciones de seguir las recomendaciones que la Comisión Nacional de Evaluación y Acreditación Universitaria (CONEAU) le hizo al Instituto Universitario en su última evaluación. En relación a esto, la ministra Frederic le resaltó la importancia de la Comisión como una herramienta que sirve de guía a lo largo de su gestión. El secretario de Seguridad y Política Criminal, Eduardo Villalba, destacó la capacidad de formar un equipo de trabajo y definir un conjunto de primeras líneas de acción en la coyuntura actual. De forma unánime se remarcó la necesidad de llevar adelante un espíritu de trabajo colectivo y de forma conjunta entre la Prefectura Naval, el Ministerio de Seguridad y el Instituto Universitario. Asimismo, el secretario de Recursos Humanos y Educación de la Prefectura, Barrios Cardozo, habló de la especificidad de la Prefectura y concluyó: "nos sentimos cuidados cuando nos tenemos que sentir cuidados, nos sentimos escuchados y, en ese sentido, contenidos".
