Productivo encuentro entre Julián Obaid y Robert Sumwalt, presidente de la NTSB Productivo encuentro entre Julián Obaid y Robert Sumwalt, presidente de la NTSB Los presidentes de la Junta de Seguridad en el Transporte, Julián Obaid, y de la NTSB de los Estados Unidos, Robert Sumwalt, realizaron una videoconferencia donde delinearon las futuras acciones a realizar en conjunto entre ambos organismos. miércoles 27 de mayo de 2020 El encuentro se realizó el viernes 23 de mayo por la tarde de manera virtual y fue la oportunidad para que ambos funcionarios se conozcan, dejando en claro la intención de continuar con los lazos forjados por los dos organismos AIG a lo largo de los últimos años. Durante la reunión se realizó una breve reseña de la participación que tuvo la National Transporation Safety Board (NTSB) en diferentes eventos organizados por la JIAAC y se repasaron las distintas instancias de trabajo conjunto y posibilidades de asistencia mutua. Además, se pautó una agenda de trabajo para el corto plazo que incluye una nueva reunión con el fin de revisar con los directores los ejes de trabajo a tener en cuenta y el favorecimiento de un mayor intercambio entre investigadores argentinos y americanos, para que los primeros adquieran mayor experiencia en el campo multimodal. También Obaid solicitó a Sumwalt información acerca de las especificaciones técnicas para que el organismo argentino pueda poner en marcha un Centro de Control de Respuesta para recibir y procesar las notificaciones de sucesos. Finalmente se resolvió trabajar en conjunto sobre los requisitos que tiene que alcanzar la JST para realizar con éxito la solicitud para lograr la membresía completa en la Asociación Internacional de Seguridad en el Transporte (International Transportation Safety Association – ITSA).
