El Ministerio de Turismo y Deportes de la Nación habilitó la inscripción para el Fondo de Auxilio y Capacitación Turística (FACT), financiado parcialmente por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), mediante el cual otorgará $2600 millones con el objetivo de preservar las empresas y proteger los empleos del sector para poder llegar al momento de normalización del turismo. Además, tiene como objetivo la capacitación de las trabajadoras y los trabajadores en temáticas como seguridad e higiene, accesibilidad turística y turismo responsable y género, que serán claves en la pospandemia.
El ministro de Turismo y Deportes de la Nación, Matías Lammens, destacó que "la iniciativa forma parte del Plan de Auxilio, Capacitación e Infraestructura para el Turismo (PACIT), que cuenta con 4 mil millones de pesos, y busca contener a las empresas del sector para que el turismo sea uno de los motores de la reactivación económica tras la pandemia".
"Este fondo complementa las medidas económicas implementadas por el Gobierno Nacional, como el Programa de Asistencia de Emergencia al Trabajo (ATP), que se extenderá hasta diciembre, y ya fueron tomados por más de 19 mil empresas y 211 mil trabajadores y trabajadoras del sector turístico", finalizó Lammens.
El FACT otorga, como máximo, el proporcional del equivalente a un sueldo mínimo, vital y móvil por empleado por mes, durante seis meses. Se podrá destinar para gastos operativos o servicios, consultoría, para negociar financiamiento o adaptar los servicios ante la nueva situación, o bien, para material promocional.
Este fondo está destinado a agencias de viajes y turismo, alojamientos u hospedajes turísticos, establecimientos gastronómicos y servicios de recreación turística. Como contraprestación, las empresas que resulten beneficiarias deberán mantener su nómina de empleados y empleadas al menos durante los seis meses que dure el beneficio y cumplir con dos dimensiones: capacitaciones virtuales para, como mínimo, el 70 por ciento del personal y adaptaciones de seguridad e higiene siguiendo los protocolos necesarios en el contexto del Covid-19.
La inscripción se encuentra disponible desde el 12 hasta el 18 de agosto en la página web del FACT.
