The agency reports a number of tips to promote responsible use of technology, in order to protect the privacy of minors.

The advancement of technology has meant that children and adolescents are increasingly using social networking earlier and internet. Since the Agency elaborated a series of recommendations to promote the responsible use of technologies and protect the privacy of minors.
Children and adolescents are exposed to access content not suitable for their age, from the websites that commonly used, video games, social networking or online advertising, which may have consequences very damaging to emotional and psychological aspects.
The following recommendations are provided by the Agency to prevent access to inappropriate content such as, pornography, gambling services, addictions, disinformation, among others.
Promoting the safe use household technology and continuously accompany minors. Establish specific mechanisms that limit access to inappropriate content and to control the use of the devices by children and adolescents. Promote safe use of search engines and applications with exclusive content for children, to facilitate parental control options. preconfigure the privacy and security of applications. Read the terms and conditions of the applications, in order to verify the recommended age for use.
Finally, remember that Law 326 25. Protection of Personal Data recognizes and guarantees your rights as a holder of personal data. In case of default, you can make a complaint with the National Directorate for Personal Data Protection Agency.

La Agencia informa una serie de consejos para promover el uso responsable de la tecnología, con el fin de resguardar la privacidad de los menores.

El avance de las tecnologías ha generado que los niños, niñas y adolescentes utilicen cada vez más temprano las redes sociales e internet. Desde la Agencia elaboramos una serie de recomendaciones para promover el uso responsable de las tecnologías y resguardar la privacidad de los menores de edad.
Los niños, niñas y adolescentes se encuentran expuestos a acceder a contenido no adecuado para su edad, desde las páginas webs que utilizan habitualmente, los videojuegos, las redes sociales o la publicidad online, que pueden tener consecuencias muy dañinas en aspectos emocionales y psicológicos.
Las siguientes recomendaciones que brinda la Agencia son para evitar el acceso a contenidos inapropiados como, por ejemplo, pornografía, servicios de apuestas, adicciones, desinformación, entre otros.
Fomentar en el grupo familiar un uso seguro de la tecnología y acompañar continuamente a los menores. Establecer mecanismos específicos que limiten el acceso a contenido inadecuado y permitan controlar el uso de los dispositivos por parte de los niños, niñas y adolescentes. Promover el uso de buscadores seguros y aplicaciones con contenido exclusivo para niños, que faciliten opciones de control parental. Configurar previamente la privacidad y seguridad de aplicaciones. Leer los términos y condiciones de las aplicaciones, con el objetivo de verificar la edad recomendada para su uso.
Por último, recordá que la Ley 25. 326 de Protección de los Datos Personales reconoce y garantiza tus derechos como titular de datos personales. En caso de incumplimiento, podés hacer un reclamo ante la Dirección Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales de la Agencia.
