Lammens sostuvo: "Para esta gestión el deporte es una política de Estado y, en ese sentido, el vínculo entre la universidad y el deporte es fundamental para el desarrollo de nuestra sociedad. Vamos a trabajar con FeDUA en un programa de becas para que los y las deportistas tengan un apoyo económico que les permita estudiar y hacer deportes". Por su parte, Trotta subrayó: "La iniciativa Doble Carrera tiene una enorme trascendencia y es una sinergia única entre la educación y el deporte". Por último, Emiliano Ojea expresó: "Estamos en condiciones de armar un sistema que contenga a todos los deportistas universitarios del país, queremos cambiar la cultura del deporte argentino". El programa Doble Carrera propone ayudar a deportistas y estudiantes en edad universitaria y preuniversitaria, para que puedan desarrollar su trayectoria deportiva y académica de forma complementaria.
