THEY SEIZE MORE THAN 53 KILOS OF COCAINE
Paraguayan citizen was arrested.

National gendarmerie in the fight against drug trafficking carried out by
the Ministry of National Security, seized 53 kilos 490 grams of cocaine
flown in a cargo transport. The driver was arrested. This procedure was
developed in the province of Entre Rios.
Last 05 staff June AFIP-ADUANA the International Bridge Posadas-Encarnación
controlled with the scanner truck Paraguayan flag carrying bulk maize and
which presented anomalies in the trailer, finding there a carrier which
were conditioned 65 kilos 179 grams cocaine.
Given this fact, the police reinforced controls on National Route No. 14 to
detect possible transfers of drugs, finding in the checkpoint "Sentinel"
dependent squadron 8 "High Uruguay" the approximation of a freight , driven
by a Paraguayan citizen from the city of Posadas missionary.
Immediately, officials with the scanner of the Force, inspected the road,
watching images of irregular contours between the trailer and tractor,
alerting the police about the existence of a wrongful act.
Uniformed they informed the Federal Court of Posadas, who contacted the
Attorney Narcocriminalistics and the Attorney Drug Trafficking Montevideo,
since the final destination of cargo was the Oriental Republic of Uruguay
and controlled delivery and monitoring authorized the road during its
journey through the country to the Integrated Control area "Concordia".
With the intervention of the Attorney Montevideo and in the presence of
staff of the National Gendarmerie, was authorized members of the Drug
Enforcement Division of the National Police of Uruguay, to move the truck
to the Uruguayan city of Salto to download bulk maize and perform record of
the semitrailer. There, they found a compartment where 53 kilos hiding 490
grams of cocaine distributed in 50 packages.
The driver of the cargo was detained by Uruguayan authorities.
