La ministra Frederic encabezó una conferencia de prensa en la cual se dieron detalles acerca del crimen del turista inglés lunes 16 de diciembre de 2019 La ministra de Seguridad de la Nación, Sabina Frederic, acompañada por el vicejefe de Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Diego Santilli, encabezó una conferencia de prensa en la cual se dieron detalles acerca de los hechos de público conocimiento ocurridos en el barrio porteño de Puerto Madero, tras los cuales resultó asesinado un turista de nacionalidad inglesa. También estuvieron presentes el secretario de Seguridad de la CABA, Marcelo D'Alessandro, y otros importantes funcionarios. Al respecto, Frederic expresó: "quiero destacar que el presidente de la Nación pidió expresamente que estuviera aquí. Nosotros desde minutos después del hecho estamos trabajando: la Prefectura Naval Argentina intervino en los primeros momentos y también trabajó la Policía de Seguridad Aeroportuaria, ofreciendo imágenes del Aeropuerto de Ezeiza". Luego añadió: "este es un hecho atroz que debe ser inmediatamente esclarecido. Hay un trabajo previo que afortunadamente va a concluir en eso. Quiero enviar condolencias hacia los familiares de la víctima; la perdida de una vida humana es irreparable". Para concluir, la ministra recalcó "el valor del trabajo minucioso de las fuerzas de seguridad, tanto de la Ciudad como de las fuerzas federales, y la puesta a disposición de la Justicia, que es la que tiene que establecer las responsabilidades, las culpabilidades y las condenas".
