Buenos Aires – La articulación público - privada, coordinada por el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasa) logró reducir gran parte de la población de langostas asentadas en la provincia de Entre Ríos, mediante tratamientos aéreos y terrestres en el departamento de Federación.
"El objetivo principal era poder ´romper´ la manga y que no se vuelva a formar, lo cual no ha ocurrido hasta el momento. Durante el día de ayer se han detectado langostas vivas, mayormente aisladas, por lo cual continuarán en los próximos días las acciones en terreno", explicó el coordinador del Programa de Langostas y Tucuras del Senasa, Héctor Medina.
"La plaga, debido a su comportamiento, tiende a reagruparse por eso es fundamental continuar con las acciones de monitoreo y control, en caso de detectarse ejemplares de langosta", agregó el profesional del organismo sanitario estatal.

Asimismo, equipos del Senasa trabajan intensamente en Chaco y Formosa para dar con la ubicación de la manga que ingresó desde Paraguay y fue detectada rápidamente, el lunes pasado, por las acciones de vigilancia del organismo.
La manga atravesó rápidamente la provincia de Formosa. El martes ingresó a Chaco. Con una aparente baja movilidad, el día sábado habría vuelto a Formosa según el alerta de informantes al sur de Pozo del Tigre, y ayer volvió a cruzar el Río Bermejo para reingresar nuevamente a la provincia del Chaco.
Se está trabajando en zonas de difícil acceso, en cercanías del Parque Nacional El Impenetrable, por lo cual, una vez más es clave el trabajo de los sensores/ informantes del Programa Nacional de Langostas y Tucuras del Senasa en toda el área.
En tal sentido, el organismo solicita a los productores de la zona que cualquier información que tengan sobre la plaga se contacten de inmediato con sus oficinas. Si estamos más comunicados, estamos mejor preparados.
