ARGENTINA AND CHILE ADVANCE IN FACILITATING PROCEDURES IN STEPS BORDER

These meetings are held annually to unify criteria on animal health, plant
protection, food safety and border. Monday 29 April 2019. Comodoro
Rivadavia (Chubut) - The National Health Service and Food Quality (Senasa)
of Argentina and Agriculture and Livestock (SAG) of Chile, moved in
facilitating procedures for border transit of goods between the two
countries. In a bilateral meeting held in facilities Integration Pass
Austral, the epidemiological situation in both countries to exchange
information on various health programs implemented such as brucellosis and
tuberculosis, liver fluke, ectoparasitosis, etc- was evaluated. The meeting
was headed by Vice President of Senasa, Guillermo Rossi, director of the
Regional Center Patagonia, Horacio Crovetto, and the regional director of
the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) Magallanes, Gerardo Otzen, who
were accompanied by teams of professionals and technicians of the
respective agencies. Moreover, considering the regulations of both
countries transit procedures pets, cattle rustling, as well as
simplification of transit cargo documents for analyzing the documents
currently in use to speed up and facilitate border transit analyzed. In
addition, protocols sheep and cattle exports from Argentina to Chile and
vice-versa, and the bilateral agreement on the export of wood Lenga of
Tierra del Fuego to Chile, among other topics were reviewed. During the
meeting a plaque was discovered in facilities Integration Pass Austral in
posthumous tribute to the vet Patagonia Regional Center of Senasa, Juan
Ocampo, recognizing their hard work for integration and preservation of
health binational heritage. These meetings are held annually to unify
