• THE CONTRACT WITH THE "THERMAL POWER PLANT KUERA SAO TOME" WAS SIGNED THAT GENERATE ELECTRICITY TO SUPPLY MORE THAN 27,000 HOMES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. • THERE ARE ALREADY 86 SIGNED CONTRACTS FOR A TO
Tuesday 30 April 2019. With a new biomass project, finalized the signing of
supply contracts renewable electricity from CAMMESA and the successful
tenderers for Round 2 of the RENEW program. With this project, totaling 86
those who already have a signed contract for a total of 88 awards (2,020 MW
over a 2,043 MW power allocated), representing a success rate of 99% ..
Undersecretary Program and Renewable Energy Energy efficiency, Sebastian
Kind, led the signing of the contract during the biomass project "Thermal
power Plant Kuera Sao Tome" (BM-404), of 12.92 MW to be located in the town
of Santo Tomé Corrientes. This plant will generate electricity to supply
27,000 households more nationwide energy from forest residues from
cultivated forests and the timber industry byproducts. Biomass project
Kuera Tome be installed in an area south of the city Tome where plans to
build a generating plant and a power line for interconnection. Respect to
the input that will use the plant, it is important that Corrientes province
is the largest area of planted forests in the country with more than 500
thousand hectares. To supply the plant closed Kuera long-term agreements
with local sawyers and producers in the area. Only two projects have not
been presented to the signing of their contracts, these are "Power Plant
biomass generation Virasoro" (BM-406) and "Saujil II Solar Park" (SFV-203),
in that sense CAMMESA will start the corresponding execution process
guarantees as established by the regulations. In Argentina there are
currently 135 renewable energy projects among those who have already
entered commercial operation and those under construction, representing
4,776 MW of installed capacity, with an estimated investment of 7,200
million dollars in full execution. Since 2016 there are 39 new renewable
energy plants in commercial operation with a total capacity of 1,106 MW and
an estimated 1,676 million, which generate electricity to supply 900,000
homes thousand investment. RENEW program -through 2 licitatorias- rounds,
Resolution 202 and the MATER regime carried the date a success rate of 99%
in that 204 of 206 projects awarded in 21 provinces totaling 6,130 MW of
installed capacity have signed their forming respective contracts and the
corresponding guarantees. The projects are divided into 69 corresponding to
solar photovoltaic technology, wind technology 64 to 19 biomass technology,
14 projects are small hydroelectric plants, 35 biogas technology and
finally 5 of biogas technology landfill.
