COOPERATION BETWEEN ARGENTINA AND COLOMBIA FOR ADDRESSING CONSUMPTION PROBLEMATIC

Policy of Argentina (SEDRONAR) participated in the Sixth Meeting of the
Joint Commission between Argentina and Colombia on the Prevention of Abuse
of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, aiming to strengthen
coordination and interregional cooperation for addressing the problematic
use .. "for the administration of President Mauricio Macri, addressing the
problematic use is a central issue on the agenda," the secretary of the
SEDRONAR, Roberto Moro, during the closing meeting. He added: "We are
convinced that the global drug problem can not be addressed only from a
country, but through cooperation with other nations. Therefore, working
together with a brother country enriches us a lot. " Organized by the
SEDRONAR with the Ministry of National Security and Argentina Chancellery,
this binational meeting took axle control supply and reduce demand for
drugs. To this end, various workshops where the Early Warning System (SAT),
Community Treatment model and the experiences of Information Systems and
Chemical Control (SICOQ) Colombians, among other subjects were exposed were
made. Besides the Secretary Moro, they participated in the conference
undersecretary Comprehensive Approach, Lidia Saya; the national director of
the Argentine Drug Observatory, Veronica Brasesco; and Undersecretary of
Counter-Narcotics Security Ministry, Martin Verrier; together with the
Ambassador of Colombia, José Renato Salazar, who was accompanied by the
delegation of authorities on the subject of his country.
