ARGENTINA BROUGHT TOGETHER SPECIALISTS ON DRUGS MERCOSUR
Tuesday 07 May 2019. The head of the Ministry of Comprehensive Drug Policy
of Argentina (SEDRONAR), Roberto Moro, led today XXIV Authorities
Specialized Meeting on Drugs Enforcement of MERCOSUR (RED), with to
strengthen international cooperation among countries in the region for
addressing the global drug problem .. "bilateral relations are part of a
state policy. Therefore, we must have a coordinated work plan on drugs and
enhance synergies in the region is critical to reducing the supply and
demand for psychoactive substances, "the Moro secretary during the opening
of the meeting. "The Mercosur countries have much to contribute to the
world," he said then. This regional meeting brings together top officials
and leaders in the field of Mercosur members and partner countries in order
to develop activities to promote among States joint programs and
cooperation activities, training and exchange of information on the subject

morning the States Parties, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay met,
and later the associated countries Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and
Peru joined. During the day they were raised and identified the
contributions and progress towards the objectives set in previous meetings,
after addressing and effectively counter the World Drug Problem. Also it
presented the "Work Program 2019-2020". Organized by the SEDRONAR, this day
was carried out in the Auditorium of the Secretary of State, and also Moro
also integrated the Argentina delegation, the national director of
International Security Cooperation of the Ministry of National Security,
Gastón Schulmeister; and the director of Human Security Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Worship, Mauricio Nine.
