HE FINISHED THE WORK OF THE SECOND TABLE WITH THE PUBLICATION OF CONSENSUS FINAL TECHNICAL DOCUMENT
Friday 03 May 2019. The Superintendency of Occupational Risks (SRT) issued
a technical paper on Occupational Diseases of the lumbosacral spine,
herniated disc pathologies and whole body vibration. It was developed in
the framework of the officers Consensus for Health Surveillance Workers, an
initiative carried out by the Deputy Manager of Development in Health and
Safety since 2018 .. The work consists of eight chapters in which different
aspects are addressed to consider preventing such diseases: definition of
low back pain and herniated disc, risk factors, preventive measures in the
workplace, considerations pre occupational examination, consideration of
the periodic review, diagnosis, corrective economic intervention and
interdisciplinarity. For the preparation of the document was used a
modified Delphi method, whose main premise avoid influence among
panellists. To achieve this, anonymous questionnaires are made and
responses of them to prepare the final consensus document. In addition to
the Deputy Manager of Health and Safety Development, participated by SRT
members of management Prestacional Control and Medical Commissions.
External entities that provided experts for the preparation of the document
were as follows: Ergonomics Association Argentina Association of Hygienists
of Argentina, Chambers of Companies of Occupational Medicine of Argentina,
College of Physiotherapists of the Province of Buenos Aires, School
professional Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Federation Argentina of
occupational Medicine, Latin American Foundation of occupational Health,
Medical Federation Union of the Capital Federal, Argentina Society of
occupational Medicine, Society Argentina of Neurology, Society Argentina
Pathology Spine, Sociedad Argentina Radiology, Society of Occupational
Medicine of the Province of Buenos Aires and Union Labor Risk Insurers.
This white paper is the second such work emerged Tables Consensus. The
first dealt Hipoacusia and was published in late 2018. currently are being
carried out four other commissions final aim the preparation of similar
documents. They are: Occupational fibrogenic pneumoconiosis, Occupational
Tuberculosis, Brucellosis and Occupational Diseases of the upper limb.
