MORE THAN 150,000 VISITS TO GLOBAL CAMPUS

The international academic mobility platform developed by the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Science and Technology Office, Global Campus, received
until 21 May last 154,387 visits by Argentine users and other 125 countries.
This digital tool which since 26 May presented at the NAFSA Fair United
States, along with studies Argentina- initiative meets when 245 calls, the
equivalent of 1475 scholarships in 75 countries.
The most consulted countries plus Argentina, are Spain, UK, Italy and
France; and study areas which are most interest are Technology and
Engineering in all its branches. -Argentinos the highest percentage of
users, Americans, Brazilians, Colombians and Spaniards, in their majority
seeking scholarships for postgraduate studies, with an average duration
between 6 and 12 months.
"Since its launch, within the framework of the Meeting of Ministers of
Education of the G20, Global Campus has grown exponentially," he reflected
Francisco Miguens, National Director of International Cooperation of the
Ministry; who described the proposal as "a tool that allows Argentine and
foreign access, very simple and intuitive way to unique opportunities for
personal and academic development to positively impact their communities."
Since March this year joined the portal calls Israel, Poland, Costa Rica
and Brazil. In the area of ​​languages, as well as the possibilities of
studying Russian, Chinese, Hungarian and Turkish, you can access grants to
study Italian funded by the government of that country.
Global Campus currently includes 60 offers for foreigners wishing to study
in Argentina. Thanks to the collaboration of the National Interuniversity
Council (CIN) and the Council of Rectors of Private Universities (CRUP),
between March and May added 38 platform calls for international students,
representing 14 proposals in Argentine universities.
Miguens said that "the acceptance of the proposal among its recipients is
growing," noting that the Ministry is working on a new version of the
portal, available in English and other languages. "This initiative helps us
to consolidate Argentina as an attractive destination for international
students, giving our universities a leading role globally," he added.
Suggestions available in our country also include the International
Course "Human rights as a universal ideal: Threats and Global Challenges",
organized by the International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights
UNESCO (CIPDH-UNESCO); and the possibility of participating in the Contest
Moot Thematic Hearings before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights
of the Organization of American States (IACHR-OAS).
In recent months, the platform also added opportunities for artists, both
in Argentina and abroad. Among other scholarships include those that
provide the foundations Getty (for research in art history) and
Pollock-Krasner (visual arts); the National Music Institute to participate
in the CIRCULART platform in Colombia; and Iberescena and Ibermuseos lines,
provided by the General Secretariat (SEGIB).
In addition, Campus brings together funding proposals for institutional
projects developed by universities in two countries. Among them are the
INNOVART and ARFITEC initiatives promoted by the Secretariat of University
Policies MECCyT and the government of France; although calls are also
available from the Royal Society (UK), the Government of Italy and the
Smart Loire Valley (France).
