Under the Retail Future event 2019, the "International Business Round
RETAIL 2019" organized in Argentina by the International Investment and
Trade Agency (AAICI) and Agribusiness Secretary of the Ministry of
Production and Labor was performed.
Argentine companies producing food, combined various meetings with
international buyers from Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica,
Egypt, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay and Vietnam; most belonging to the
supermarket channel.
Part 64 SMEs local food, a variety of products: honey and derivatives,
olive oil and others, olives, milk, pastes, sausages, nuts, chocolates,
candies, sandwich cookies, breads, fruit juices, mineral water, wines,
organic and gluten-free food, snack, tea and other infusions, salt and
dressings, gourmet products and pet food. From CABA, Buenos Aires, Santa
Fe, Cordoba, Mendoza, San Juan, Neuquen, Rio Black.
Secretary of Food and Bioeconomy, Andres Murchison said that these actions
allow articulated Agency increase the number of SMEs across the country who
participate in our activities and so we promote the development of food and
their ability to be present in chains major retail.
Organizers estimate that as a result, around 354 meetings were held and the
round has generated business around for more than 1.7 million dollars, in
some cases as snacks foresee a great sales potential, as well in
differentiated, healthy products organic.
Notably, the Ministry of Food and Bioeconomy, was present with an
institutional stand with the Agency, promoting the quality seal "Argentine
Food, a natural choice," presenting the diversity of products eligible to
use the trademark and benefits for transferees.
In the exhibition were with their products nine companies benefiting from
the Seal Alimentos Argentinos in this important show that core commercial
references of national chain retail and regional, to food companies and
service providers in different categories (equipment, logistics,
distribution, technology, software, merchandising).
Again the institutional linkage between the Secretariat and the Agency can
provide to external commercial development of food businesses.
