FRIGERIO BERGMAN AND PARTICIPATED IN THE CLOSING DAY OF SUSTAINABLE HOUSING FORUM

Government Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development, Sergio
Bergman and Minister of Interior, Public Works and Housing, Rogelio
Frigerio, held this morning the formal opening of Sustainable Housing Forum
which began yesterday at the Cultural Center of Science. The meeting was
proposed as a space dedicated to social housing and urban and regional
development under sustainable guidelines.
At the opening, Bergman said: "There has always displayed the importance of
housing and technology in terms of impact not only global warming but in
the use of resources". "The new challenge is that sustainable housing is a
synergistic cross for an internal debt that we have a policy that is not
only technical but ethical," said Secretary of Environment and
concluded: "We must make the most profitable way to generate this housing
is sustainable mode. And that itself the role of government, to regulate
the rules of the game to make this transition and evolution. "
Meanwhile, Frigerio said that the work done is aimed at "solving a problem
that involves more than 3 and a half million families in Argentina", while
recalled: "In the thousands and thousands of kilometers we have come in
these three and a half years we have delivered management, among other
things, thousands of homes ". He explained: "One has to understand what is
the best way to solve the housing problem in the country and, in that
sense, we started a cultural change to begin changing the supply-side
approach focus set in demand, especially copying also examples of other
successful in the field as the Chilean case "countries.
Later, Bergman made, along with Secretary of Housing, Ivan Kerr and other
officials, the opening of the interactive exhibition "My sustainable
housing", which will soon begin a traveling tour of various localities. The
exhibition offers a dynamic journey through topics such as housing design,
efficient use of energy and good practices, waste and circular economy,
urban agriculture, regions and bioclimatic architecture, building systems,
renewable energy the rational use of water and sustainable development.
It should be noted that during the forum the role of sustainability
addressed in the disciplines of architecture, urban planning, engineering
and social sciences, incorporating the guidelines of the housing policy
promoted by the national government, focusing on promoting strategies
bioclimatic design, energy efficiency and renewable energy. In today's
session dedicated to the international framework for the promotion of
housing and green building system energy rating of housing, sustainability
and improving them to the qualitative deficit, innovation segments were
developed and technologies for sustainable development and strategies to
promote sustainability in the city and housing.

Development; the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology;
and the Ministry of Interior, Public Works and Housing, in collaboration
with the Inter-American Development Bank. They participated in the second

Gentile, the head of the General Coordination Unit, Patricia Holzman; the

Environmental Assessment; Director of Innovation for Sustainable
Development, Prem Zalzman; the Interjurisdiccional and Regional Offices
director Nahuel Muñoz; along with other authorities and specialists in the
field from our country, Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil and
representatives of the IDB and the Organization of the United Nations.
