MACRI PRESIDENT GREETING THE STAFF OF THE HEALTH CAMPAIGN RIVER FORMOSA 2019 PEOPLE ATTENDED CHACO CURRENT AND
President Mauricio Macri welcomed this morning the staff of the Health
Campaign 2019 Fluvial provided medical and social assistance to more than
3,500 people from coastal populations of Chaco, Corrientes and Formosa. "We
are very proud of the work they have done these past 40 days, attending
Argentine Northeast," the Head of State in a ceremony held at Naval Station
located in Antarctica Argentina Avenue in the city of Buenos Aires. "It's
wonderful to start the week with women and men so valuable, so committed,
so dedicated jointly to serve the rest of their compatriots," added the
President. He highlighted the efforts of members of the Armed Forces who
acted in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Social Development,
the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER) and the National Administration
of Social Security (ANSES). "Thanks to you, more than 3,500 citizens had
access to a doctor, a document," Macri said at the ceremony, where he was
accompanied by Defense Minister Oscar Aguad, and Health and Social
Development, Carolina Stanley. Also they attended by heads of the Navy,
Admiral Jose Luis Villán, and Army Lieutenant General Claudio Pasqualini,
and the operational commander of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces
(EMCOFFAA), Major General Carlos Perez Aquino. Next to Lieutenant Commander
Gustavo Palomino, Macri toured the ARA "King" patrolman who during the
campaign accompanied the multipurpose vessel of the Navy "Ciudad de
Zárate", in charge of moving personnel and bring inputs to coastal
populations del Litoral. Between May 6 and June 11 last, the teams heading
for the Campaign touched Soto Island, Puerto Vilelas, Isla del Cerrito,
Puerto Bermejo and Puerto Las Palmas in the province of Chaco; Puerto
Ita-Ibaté, Puerto Lavalle and Punta Taitalo in Corrientes: Colonia Cano and
in Formosa. They provided medical care clinic, dental, gynecological,
pediatric and ophthalmologic, while conducted a health survey and
vaccinated villagers living far from health facilities. The Government,
through the Ministry of Defense along with other state agencies, provincial
and municipal governments, conducted annually by the health campaign with
the aim of helping vulnerable communities living on the banks of the Parana
and Paraguay rivers and away from care centers. Led by the Military
Emergency Assistance Division of EMCOFFAA, social action includes tasks
such as delivering drugs, eyeglasses, clothing and other resources. This
year also, the activity was coordinated with various state actions in your
neighborhood, a program that depends on the Cabinet and includes the
Ministries of Interior, Health and Social Development, Justice and Human
Rights, Production and Labor. In this way, the neighbors could manage the
National Identity Card (RENAPER) and carry out procedures of the National
Administration of Social Security (ANSES). At the same time, middle school
students participated in workshops on sexual and reproductive health. Also
for the first time we worked on the prevention and control of zoonosis of
domestic animals by veterinary doctors and nurses from the Directorate of
Army Remount and Veterinary. The ship "City of Zárate" took on board Mobile
medical units, doctors and nurses of the Navy and the Army, which health
professionals, social work and technical teams involved ministries joined.
Mobile sanitary containers (dental and medical) have a dental chair, an
X-ray, a stretcher for medical care and with medical oxygen bottle. Feature
refrigerator for vaccine storage and a sterilizer oven, as well as
equipment cold / heat air conditioning and provide the necessary
electricity and water air conditioning.
