WE ADD AN ELECTRIC SUBSTATION IN LINE ROCA

Now, the Roca line features a new electric substation in Quilmes, which
improves power electric trains.

The new electric traction substation provides power from Quilmes to
Avellaneda and La Plata, including feeding catenary, workshops and
stations. The facilities, the latest technology, are in Quilmes and
generate relief in the electrical substation Temperley, who previously
supplied all the Roca line. The launch of these teams represents an
effective alternative to any power failure to continue to provide better
travel experience to our passengers.
The substation allows remotely operate all electrical equipment, avoiding
failures in the operation, which improves the quality of all electrical
service, mainly in the sections Avellaneda - La Plata and Berazategui -
Forests. That is, before a power outage, it is now possible to continue
receiving electricity, and in the case of any failure of the Temperley
substation can provide energy from here and vice versa.
There are four equipment rooms, a living battery, which is a back up power
command equipment, a living laboratory, a room auxiliary boards, room
panels to power lights and workshops, among others. For training in
technology, they traveled ten workers of the Rock to Germany online.
Further, a firefighting system incorporated with a tank 75 thousand liters
of water and non-toxic tubes capable of detecting the gas amount to
provide, according to the surface and the volume of the affected site. It
also has anti blast walls. New technology also joined in Central Control
Electric Power Paracas electrical systems.
In order to strengthen security, the substation is monitored by cameras
that enable remote monitoring and real-time. In addition to the above, five
posts of self-transformation, located in Avellaneda, Don Bosco,
Berazategui, Villa Elisa and La Plata, allowing transport energy more
efficiently, from the substation to the formations were installed.
