Con la presencia de representantes de organizaciones de la sociedad civil, sector empresario, sindicatos, organismos internacionales y organismos de gobierno se presentaron ayer los resultados del primer Plan Nacional de Acción para la Prevención, Asistencia y Erradicación de la Violencia contra las Mujeres 2017-2019, resultado del informe de monitoreo realizado por el INAM con el apoyo del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID).
"Este Plan implica dejar establecidas estrategias de acción a corto, mediano y largo plazo lo que representa un aporte invaluable para lograr la transversalidad de género en todas las políticas públicas y hacer de la erradicación de la violencia contra las mujeres una política de Estado" sostuvo la titular del Instituto Nacional de las Mujeres, Fabiana Tuñez.
Andrea Monje, especialista de género de la división de Género y Diversidad del BID por su parte destaco la importancia de la herramienta de planificación y del desafío que implico la elaboración del Plan sin contar con líneas de base en 2015, dada la ausencia de estadísticas oficiales.
"Sabemos que falta, todavía hoy hay mujeres en nuestro país que son asesinadas por el hecho de ser mujeres. Por eso seguiremos trabajando con convicción y compromiso. No importa el lugar que ocupemos, la lucha contra la violencia es nuestra lucha y la seguiremos dando" destaco la Ministra Stanley
La consultora del BID a cargo del ejercicio del monitoreo, Cristina Lopez Mayher, brindo una presentación (adjunta) en la cual dio detalles del proceso de relevamiento de datos y lecciones aprendidas. El 85% de las acciones están avanzando, de estas el 55% están en ejecución y el 30% en proceso. La consultora señaló, además, que todos los organismos consultados para la elaboración del informe reportaron acciones vinculadas a la promoción de la igualdad de género y la erradicación de la violencia, incluso por fuera de las establecidas en el Plan de acción.
Entre los resultados más novedosos se destacan:
