El Gobierno nacional expulsó a un ciudadano italiano que violó la cuarentena​ miércoles 18 de marzo de 2020 La Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, dependiente del Ministerio del Interior, realizó hoy un operativo conjunto con fuerzas de Seguridad y del Ministerio de Salud en el barrio porteño de Colegiales para expulsar a un ciudadano italiano que violó la cuarentena obligatoria para extranjeros dispuesta por el Decreto de Necesidad y Urgencia 260/ 2020 firmado por el Presidente de la Nación, en el marco de las medidas tomadas por el Gobierno nacional ante la pandemia de Covid-19. En las actuaciones que concluyeron con la expulsión del ciudadano italiano, ordenada por el Juzgado Federal 9, Migraciones trabajó junto al Consulado italiano en Buenos Aires, con quien gestionó el traslado a Ezeiza donde estará aislado hasta su regreso a Roma previsto para mañana, y también se contó con la colaboración de la Policía Federal Argentina, además de efectivos de la Policía de la Ciudad. La directora nacional de Migraciones, Florencia Carignano, explicó que las actuaciones se iniciaron luego de que vecinos denunciaran ante la Policía que un turista italiano, que había llegado al país el sábado pasado y que se alojaba en un departamento de la calle Ciudad de la Paz al 500, no cumplía con la cuarentena obligatoria. "Le pedimos su pasaporte y constatamos con las bases de Migraciones que debía estar en cuarentena. Por orden del presidente Alberto Fernández no vamos a soportar que nadie ponga en riesgo las medidas estrictas que estamos tomando y que algunos vivos sigan sin entender que esto es algo muy peligroso", señaló Carignano. En tanto, el cónsul italiano Antonio Puggioni destacó las acciones que lleva adelante el Gobierno argentino, y el trabajo coordinado entre las distintas áreas gubernamentales ante la alerta sanitaria. Luego de que personal de la Dirección Nacional de Migraciones y efectivos de la Policía Federal Argentina (PFA) constaran el delito, el ciudadano italiano fue trasladado por la Brigada de Riesgos Químicos de la PFA, respetando todos los protocolos de seguridad establecidos, hacia el aeropuerto internacional de Ezeiza, donde mañana abordará un vuelo con destino a Roma, Italia. Además, este ciudadano tendrá prohibido entrar al país y deberá pagar una multa. Para denunciar a quienes no cumplen con la cuarentena, el gobierno nacional habilitó la línea gratuita 134.
