En total son 180 kilómetros distribuidos en distintos tramos de las provincias de Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Córdoba, Santa Fe y Buenos Aires para los cuales se destinará una inversión de más de 650 millones de pesos.

En la línea mesopotámica, que retomó en julio pasado la actividad completa del ramal entre sus cabeceras de Zárate en Buenos Aires y la estación Garupá en Misiones, se empezó a trabajar sobre distintos tramos de vía a repartidos en las localidades de Tapebicuá y La Cruz, en la provincia de Corrientes. Otros dos tramos en los que también ya arrancaron las obras son uno entre Urdinarrain con San Salvador; y entre Holt con San Martín; ambos en Entre Ríos.
En lo que respecta a la línea Belgrano, que llega hasta el norte del país, las mejoras que le darán mayor productividad al servicio ferroviario alcanzan los 70 kilómetros de vía en la provincia de Córdoba en cuatro sectores distintos de la traza; mientras que otros 10 kilómetros serán mejorados en el tramo Timbúes - Pino San Lorenzo, en Santa Fe.
Por el lado de la línea San Martín, que cruza de este a oeste el país, se activaron las obras de mejoramiento en cinco tramos distintos que abarcan las provincias de Buenos Aires y Santa Fe mientras que se están realizando nueva licitaciones para la provincia de Mendoza.
El presidente de TAC, Daniel Vispo, aseguró que estas tareas "tienen un alto impacto en la operación de trenes de carga, lo que permite avanzar en uno de nuestros ejes de gestión que es cuidar la infraestructura ferroviaria lo que permite transportar más toneladas en la mayor distancia posible, dándole competitividad a nuestro transporte".
En este sentido también es importante recalcar que se logró un significativo aumento en reemplazo durmientes y tirafondos en relación al año anterior. Estos trabajos impactan directamente tanto en el incremento de productividad como en la seguridad ferroviaria. Para finalizar, Vispo aseguró que: "Invertir en infraestructura permite seguir incrementando los volúmenes generales de carga que, en lo que va del año, se mantienen en un 24% por encima de lo transportado en 2019".
