La secretaria de Acceso a la Salud, Carla Vizzotti, indicó que ayer las jurisdicciones notificaron 2. 273 personas internadas en unidades de terapia intensiva con diagnóstico de COVID-19. "Menos del 70 por ciento - detalló - corresponde a la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires y a la provincia de Buenos Aires, y el resto a las provincias que están teniendo un aumento de casos con reporte de tensión en el sistema de salud en Jujuy, Mendoza, en el departamento de General Roca de Río Negro, y en áreas de Salta y La Rioja".
La funcionaria solicitó que dada la situación es necesario que "reforcemos las medidas de cuidado individual" y consultar de inmediato al sistema de salud ante la presencia de síntomas como fiebre, tos, dolor de garganta, dificultad para respirar y pérdida súbita del sentido del olfato y del gusto, cefalea, diarrea y/ o vómitos y evitar el contacto con otras personas. También es importante continuar con el uso de barbijo casero (que cubra nariz, boca y mentón); mantener una distancia física mínima de dos metros entre personas; el lavado frecuente de manos y la limpieza de superficies y objetos.
Vizzotti afirmó que se mantiene el trabajo intenso entre Nación y las jurisdicciones en lo que se refiere a la gestión camas y de recursos humanos, epidemiología y capacitación para implementar el Dispositivo Estratégico de Testeo para Coronavirus en Territorio de Argentina (DETeCTAr) como en Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Salta, y en Río Grande y Ushuaia, en Tierra del Fuego.
En cuanto a los datos consolidados a nivel nacional, el subsecretario de Estrategias Sanitarias, Alejandro Costa, informó que son 417. 735 los casos totales confirmados y 8. 730 los fallecidos, por lo que la tasa de letalidad es del 2,1 por ciento. Tarragona señaló que el incremento de la prevalencia que se evidencia en las personas que utilizan el transporte público acompaña la evolución de los casos a nivel general en el área del AMBA. "En la primera etapa, en abril, la prevalencia fue de 0,6 por ciento", agregó y afirmó que en el estudio de agosto "se advierte una cantidad de casos un poco más elevada en la estación Constitución con 5,3 %, mientras que en Once fue de 4,9 % y en Retiro de 4,8%"
