The new instrument will allow graduates access simpler and more streamlined
to recognition as a top-level title thus promoting academic mobility in the
region and positive impact on the growth of countries within it.
The International Conference of States (CIE) convened by the United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) today approved
in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Regional Convention on the Recognition of
Studies, Diplomas and Degrees in Higher Education Latin America and the
Caribbean. The text adhered eleven of the delegations present at the
meeting - Argentina, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Grenada, Honduras,
Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Holy See and is the result of
three-day review of the agreements reached during the two government
interdepartmental held in our country in 2018.
