JOSÉ DUMÓN, EDUCATE DEMOCRACY

Monday 29 April 2019. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and
Technology Office expresses deep regret for the death of Jose Gabriel
Dumón, and remembers him as the instigator of education in democracy with
one of his thoughts: " education should be the common path of all
Argentines ".. José Gabriel Dumón, Rauch native, graduated as a lawyer at
the National University of La Plata. He held a seat as provincial deputy
between 1983 and 1984. In 1987 he was elected National Deputy for the
province of Buenos Aires. In May 1989 he was appointed Minister of
Education and Justice by President Raul Alfonsin, exerting that position
until 9 July 1989. In 1993 he was again elected National Deputy for the
province, holding the position until 2001 when he became Minister of Labor
of the Nation.
