WORKSHOP ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The meeting exchanged on indicators to monitor human rights in the context
of Agenda 2030.

Thursday May 30, together with the Ministry of Human Rights and Cultural
Pluralism of the Nation (SDH) and the United Nations (UN), conducted the
workshop "Measuring the Protection of Rights" to inform and train about
indicators to promote and monitor the exercise of Human Rights (HR) in the
framework of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The aim of the conference was to strengthen the technical capacities of
members of the Federal Council for Human Rights (CFDH) and provincial focal
points of ODS for monitoring and monitoring of human rights through the
application of the methodology of the Background Indicators of Human Rights
of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
In this regard, officials of the National Council for Social Policy
Coordination (CNCPS), SDH and UN set out to develop a list of indicators
contextualized by members of CFDH and focal points of ODS for monitoring
recommendations Human Rights and implementation of the Agenda 2030 based on
national and local priorities.
The meeting concluded with a working group on human rights indicators on
Economic, Social, Cultural and Environmental Rights (ESCR) and an exchange
about the nature and obligations of States in this matter.
