MACRI PRESIDENT TOURED A NEW STRETCH OF HIGHWAY NATIONAL ROUTE 8

President Mauricio Macri toured a new stretch of Highway National Route 8
Pilar-Pergamino, in the Buenos Aires district of San Andres de Giles, part
of the works of connectivity that the Government carries out throughout the
country to ensure road safety and create more jobs through public works.
The Head of State, who was accompanied by the governor of Buenos Aires,
María Eugenia Vidal; Transport Minister's Office, Guillermo Dietrich, and
mayors in the area, also spoke with a group of neighbors who for decades
awaiting the realization of these works. The completion of the work,
several times announced but unfinished RN8 the AU, was the first commitment
made Macri as president on December 11, 2015, during a visit in the party
of Exaltation of the Cross. The highway will run for 168 kilometers,
divided into nine sections, two of which were completed and six are under
construction and the remaining is already projected, which currently
generates more than 1200 jobs. It will improve connectivity between the
provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Cordoba and San Luis, and enhance
regional trade that has axis in the agricultural and livestock production.
In Buenos Aires links the municipalities of Pilar, Exaltation of the Cross,
San Antonio de Areco, Captain Sarmiento, Arrecifes and Pergamino, which
will also be revalued in tourism and real estate matters. Near the highway
is the Pilar Industrial Park, made up of 200 companies that register a
daily income of 15 thousand vehicles. The start of construction was
announced in 2006, with an implementation period of 3 years and in 2010
again promised completion by 2014, but in late 2015 had materialized only 8
km. Also present were covered during the mayors of the municipalities of
Exaltation of the Cross, Adrian Sanchez; Reefs, Javier Olaela; Parchment,
Javier Martinez; San Antonio de Areco, Durañona Francisco and San Andres de
Giles, Carlos Puglielli. Also they attended by former Minister of Energy of
the Nation Javier Iguacel and Undersecretary of Municipal Affairs of the
Province, Alex Campbell.
