1ST NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CULTURAL HERITAGE MARINA MERCANTE

On Monday 24 and Tuesday, 25 June was held the First National Conference on
Cultural Heritage Marina Mercante under the slogan "a legacy that deserves
to be careful" in the main auditorium of the headquarters of the Center of
Overseas Captains.
Notably, in the first day of the Conference, the Coordination of Recovery
and Conservation of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Finance of the
Nation and represented by its Coordinator Lic. Mario Felix Naranjo and
conservators Carla Coluccio and Miguel Haluska gave various talks on the
recovery of the cultural heritage of the iconic former naval flag company
ELMA
In this context and in order to put in describing strategies and approaches
Coordination, first Lic. Mario Naranjo made an introduction on the tangible
and intangible heritage of ELMA, linking conservation efforts, restoration,
research and dissemination culture that carries out day to day coordination.
Second Preservative-Restauradora Carla Coluccio detailed full recovery
process scale models of vessels ELMA. And then a detailed description of
the processes in the restoration of objects belonging to the artistic and
historical heritage of metal such as commemorative plates, bells, lanterns
and navigation was performed by Conservative Restorer Miguel Haluska.
The aim was to glimpse through concrete actions deepening policies to
safeguard cultural property, the economic portfolio has applied over 25
years.
The call was attended by students and teachers racing Fine Arts,
Restoration and Museology, officials working in different areas of culture,
as well as managers and employees who work directly related to the Cultural
Heritage.
