NARCOMENUDEO: INCREASE MORE THAN 400% THE DRUG SEIZURE

The Naval Prefecture Argentina also increased the number of procedures and
dealers arrested.
The Naval Prefecture Argentina took an important step in the fight against
drug smuggling and security in the neighborhoods: in May, the troops rose
more than 400% the drug seizure.
Following the guidelines of the Ministry of National Security, by Patricia
Bullrich, force personnel continued to work hard to combat crime.
As a result, 1,259 operations were carried out, 24% more than the previous
month, in which more than 140,000 doses of cocaine and marijuana, pills
1000, cash and weapons were seized.
In addition, effective force, led by Eduardo Scarzello, increased by 21%
the number of detainees: 1280 persons were apprehended for acts linked to
drug dealing.
The procedures are carried out within the framework of citizen protection
tasks carried out by the Prefecture in the cities of Buenos Aires
(emergency neighborhoods Zavaleta, 21-24 and Cildañez INTA) and the towns
of Buenos Aires Campana, Escobar, Zárate, Tigre, San Fernando, San Isidro,
Vicente Lopez, Avellaneda and Quilmes.
Notably, as part of prevention efforts and patrol, they were identified
more than 426,000 people and more than 480,000 cars and motorbikes were
controlled.
