A RED BENCH WAS INSTALLED FOR THE VICTIMS OF FEMICIDE

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights convened in its headquarters,
Sarmiento 329, a red bench as a symbol of the fight against femicide and
gender violence.
The initiative was promoted by the Observatory of Victims of the portfolio
and its installation participated Justice Minister Germán Garavano, the
secretaries of Justice and Human Rights, Maria Fernanda Rodriguez and
Claudio Abruj, the chief of staff of the ministry Martin Casares and
undersecretaries of Justice and access to Justice, Juan Jose Benitez and
Florence Schkolnik.
"Our commitment is against gender violence. This is a tribute to the
struggle that embodies our entire society and leading women. In the
background is a cultural change, to change our behavior, "Garavano said.
The event brushes and red paint were distributed to officials and relatives
of victims of crimes such as Jimena Aduriz, Fabiana Tuñez, Guillermo Bargna
and Nilda Gómez, who painted the bank that drew up the inmates at the
workshop offices of the Federal Prison Complex Marcos Paz.Además, a plaque
that reads "in memory of all murdered women in context of gender violence"
was installed.
Red Bank project, born in Italy, originally called "La Panchina Rossa" is a
cultural initiative of prevention, information and awareness against
femicide. Seeks to reflect on the hundreds of annual victims who suffer
violence and awareness that fatal outcomes are avoidable if you take time
acts.
