HE FINISHED THE 2019 REAF WITH ORGANIZATIONS OF FAMILY FARMERS IN THE REGION
For three days in Buenos Aires, officials from government departments and
representatives of Mercosur organizations were given to analyze public
policies that strengthen the activity.

Government Secretary of Agribusiness of the nation, Luis Miguel
Etchevehere, stressed "the commitment of the Government to continue
accompanying with concrete facts to producers promoting their work and
their quality of life" in closing ceremony of the XXX Specialized Meeting
Family Agriculture (REAF), which was attended by more than 150
representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and
Uruguay, organizations and cooperatives.
During the closing ceremony held in the Auditorium of the National Registry
of Workers and Employers (RENATRE), Etchevehere stressed "the importance of
promoting measures also dedicated to strengthening the" roots "on small
producers, such as the initiative" We are fiber "we have developed together
with INTA to add value to the ancient fabrics made of artisan way. Or the
Bureau of Andean crops developed for the promotion of consumption and
insertion into markets for crops such as Andean potatoes and quinoa, among
others ".
The head of the agribusiness portfolio held that the productive activities

Development, James Hardie said that "we must continue to create favorable
conditions for agricultural work is fruitful, profitable and allow growth,
so that the farmer and his family can live of what they produce without
having to move elsewhere. the policies implemented promote rooting producer
to his land, his work in the field, reaffirming the capacity and productive
contribution that has the family farmer for all Argentines who are the main
consumers of these products, whether food or craft. "
During the REAF the importance of cooperation and associativism was noted
as a tool for market access, accompanied by public policies that reinforce
the relationship between the Specialized Meeting of MERCOSUR Cooperatives
with REAF. In this order, a work plan addressing capacity building for
cooperative management and integration was designed borders.
The conference also served to treat between officials and representatives
of organizations of member countries developing productive public-private
partnerships to sustainable inclusion of family farming in the markets. In
this context private sector experiences working with family farming as a
provider of food innovation highlighted in coordination with the private
sector to include production in different markets were presented. In this
regard, they work for the bureaucratization of the activity stressed and
facilitate sustainable development of family farming.

Ministry of Agro-industry Buenos Aires, Jorge Srodek; concerning the
National Health Service and Food Quality (Senasa); REAF; Confederation
Intercooperativa Agricultural Limited (CONINAGRO); The Federation of
Agricultural Argentina (FAA); the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation
on Agriculture (IICA); of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the
United Nations (FAO); the National Institute of Cooperatives and Social
Economy (INAES); the Confederation of Family Mercosur (COPROFAM) Producers;
Organizations of Family Farming and Indigenous Campesina, among others.
Before concluding, the present stressed the importance of giving continuity
to the space, giving Argentina the president pro tempore of the REAF to
Brazil.
