IDB GRANTS $ 50 MILLION TO PROMOTE SOCIAL AND URBAN INTEGRATION OF NEIGHBORHOODS
The financing provides for the development of works in 14 vulnerable
districts that will benefit more than 5,000 families in the country

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a loan of USD 50 million
will be allocated to the development of works of urban planning in
vulnerable neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, Corrientes, Salta, Santa Fe,
Neuquén, Jujuy and Misiones.
In this sense, the "Urban Partner Program Integration of vulnerable
neighborhoods" aims to improve the quality of life of people through work
in the public space and urban infrastructure to promote human and
productive development.
To this end, the presence of areas of government and civil society
organizations in the neighborhood to expand coverage and community
participation in social programs will be promoted. Thus, human capital and
economic activities of the district focused on linking with activities in
the city will develop.
the spaces within the National Register of Popular Neighborhoods Priority
will be given and will be selected those who possess an organized and
availability of people to work in implementing community. They will also be
selected neighborhoods where the Ministry of Health and Social Development
of the Nation intervene.
The operation is the result of negotiation and joint work of the
Secretariat for International Financial Relations, Ministry of Finance, the
Ministry of Urban Partner Integration Ministry of Health and Social
Development and the technical team of the Inter-American Development Bank.
The agency has developed comprehensive programs of slum upgrading
approximately 20 years and has conducted numerous evaluation studies
