[English-Español] AMBIENTE ELABORÓ EL PLAN NACIONAL DE ADAPTACIÓN Y MITIGACIÓN AL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO

Environment prepared the National Plan for Adaptation and Mitigation to Climate Change Wednesday November 27, 2019 The Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation, headed by Sergio Bergman, concluded the elaboration of the first National Plan for Adaptation and Mitigation to Climate Change which aims to advance the fulfillment of the objectives assumed in the Paris Agreement, and National Action plans Sectoral Energy, Transportation, Agriculture, Industry, Health, Infrastructure and Land and Forests. The National Plan for Adaptation and Mitigation to Climate Change, which was made official today by Resolution 447/2019, reflects the need to deal in a coordinated manner and efficiently to the challenges of climate change, being an instrument of public policy that guides medium and long term actions to be undertaken in the field. Thus, the document seeks to advance the implementation of the commitment made by Argentina in the Tax Determined at national level (NDC for its acronym in English), revised and presented at COP 22 Marrakech in 2016. It also responds to the mandate set in the recently adopted Law on Minimum Standards for adaptation and mitigation Global Climate Change and Decree 891/2016 creating the National Office for Climate Change, which defines, among other objectives, the formulation of a National Response Plan to Climate Change . This plan was developed by the National Climate Change Secretariat of Environment based on the work of four years of the National Office of Climate Change, coordinated by the Ministry of Climate and Development sustainable- Change led more than 90 meetings in their policy makers, technical, judicial and extended bureau. In that sense sections mitigation and adaptation to climate change summarize the work agreed with the ministries and departments under the aforementioned cabinet, the Federal Environment Council (COFEMA), actors representing the academic, non-governmental organizations, chambers , companies, workers and participants of the extended bureaux.

Ambiente elaboró el Plan Nacional de Adaptación y Mitigación al Cambio Climático miércoles 27 de noviembre de 2019 La Secretaría de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Nación, que encabeza Sergio Bergman, concluyó la elaboración del primer Plan Nacional de Adaptación y Mitigación al Cambio Climático que tiene como objeto avanzar en el cumplimiento de los objetivos asumidos en el Acuerdo de París, y los Planes de Acción Nacionales Sectoriales de Energía, Transporte, Agro, Industria, Salud, Infraestructura y Territorio y Bosques. El Plan Nacional de Adaptación y Mitigación al Cambio Climático, que fue oficializado hoy mediante la Resolución 447/ 2019, responde a la necesidad de hacer frente de manera coordinada y eficiente a los desafíos del cambio climático, siendo un instrumento de política pública que orienta a mediano y largo plazo las acciones a desarrollar en la materia. De esta manera, el documento procura avanzar en la implementación del compromiso asumido por Argentina en la Contribución Determinada a Nivel Nacional (NDC por sus siglas en inglés), revisada y presentada en la COP 22 de Marrakech en 2016. Asimismo, responde al mandato establecido en la recientemente aprobada Ley de Presupuestos Mínimos de Adaptación y Mitigación al Cambio Climático Global y el Decreto 891/ 2016 de creación del Gabinete Nacional de Cambio Climático, donde se define, entre otros objetivos, la formulación de un Plan Nacional de Respuesta al Cambio Climático. El presente plan fue elaborado por la Dirección Nacional de Cambio Climático de la Secretaría de Ambiente en base al trabajo de cuatro años del Gabinete Nacional de Cambio Climático —coordinado por la Secretaría de Cambio Climático y Desarrollo Sustentable— que conllevó más de 90 reuniones en sus instancias política, técnica, jurisdiccional y de mesa ampliada. En ese sentido las secciones de mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático resumen el trabajo consensuado con los ministerios y secretarías en el marco del mencionado gabinete, el Consejo Federal de Medio Ambiente (COFEMA), actores representativos de los sectores académico, organizaciones no gubernamentales, cámaras, empresas, trabajadores y participantes de las mesas ampliadas.
