In recent months we apply ourselves to the task of finalizing the work of the Lactary of the Hospital. This sector is responsible for the preparation of milk formulas for pediatric patients, and enteral feeding formulas for adult patients who are hospitalized.
Currently, daily they occur in bottles 350 and 200 vials to provide milk formulas, enteral, or safe water.
The team is composed of 21 members, including graduates in Nutrition, auxiliary administrative staff, supervisors and performing work in 3 shifts, 365 days of the year. The staff have ongoing training in food safety and quality.
All procedures are performed under strict safety standards in order to ensure the safety of food produced. The new Lactary includes a clean or dirty production area or washing, and sectors transfer area.
This new sector will have its own autoclave, which will streamline the management and sterilization processes, and a Terminal Processor Formulas Lácteas, with heating cycles "express" and rapid cooling, in order to preserve the nutritional quality and improving organoleptic characteristics of the finished product.

En los últimos meses nos abocamos a la tarea de finalizar la obra del lactario del Hospital. Este sector se encarga de la elaboración de fórmulas lácteas destinadas a pacientes pediátricos, y fórmulas de alimentación enteral para pacientes adultos que se encuentran internados.
Actualmente, se producen en forma diaria 350 biberones y 200 frascos para proveer fórmulas lácteas, enterales, o agua segura.
El equipo de trabajo está compuesto por 21 integrantes, entre Licenciados en Nutrición, personal administrativo, supervisoras y auxiliares que desempeñan tareas en 3 turnos, los 365 días del año. El personal cuenta con capacitaciones permanentes en inocuidad y calidad alimentaria.
Todos los procedimientos se realizan bajo estrictas normas de seguridad con el fin de garantizar la inocuidad de los alimentos producidos. El nuevo lactario incluye un área limpia o de producción y área sucia o lavado, y sectores de transferencia.
Este nuevo sector contará con su propio autoclave, que permitirá agilizar la gestión y procesos de esterilización, y con un Procesador Terminal de Fórmulas Lácteas, con ciclos de calentamiento "express" y enfriamiento rápido, con el fin de preservar la calidad nutricional y mejorando las características organolépticas del producto terminado.
