[English-Español] MEONI RECIBIÓ AL EMBAJADOR DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS

Meoni received Ambassador of the United States Friday January 31, 2020 Minister of Transport of the Nation, Mario Meoni, today received Ambassador of the United States in our country, Edward C. Prado. During the meeting, which took place in the morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport of the Nation, the will to deepen cooperation between the two countries and strengthen bilateral relations was highlighted. The Meoni minister presented to the ambassador the strategic vision of developing transport logistics within the country, including the reactivation of trains and rail networks, ports and operations of cargo and passengers, as well as continuing to promote cooperation on security operating between the two countries. In terms of safety in the field of aviation, our country works in cooperation with the United States from different agreements signed in recent years, through the Board of Accident Investigation Civil Aviation (JIAAC), agency under of the Ministry of Transport and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States. On rail, Belgrano Cargas, dependent on the Ministry of Transport, also maintains a cooperation agreement and technical assistance by the Trade and Development Agency of the US (USTDA, according to its acronym in English).

Meoni recibió al embajador de los Estados Unidos viernes 31 de enero de 2020 El Ministro de Transporte de la Nación, Mario Meoni, recibió hoy al embajador de los Estados Unidos en nuestro país, Edward C. Prado. Durante la reunión de trabajo, que tuvo lugar por la mañana en la sede del Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, se destacó la voluntad de profundizar la cooperación entre ambos países y reforzar la relación bilateral. El ministro Meoni presentó al embajador la visión estratégica de desarrollar la logística de transporte en el interior del país, incluyendo la reactivación de los trenes y la red ferroviaria, puertos y operaciones de carga y pasajeros, así como continuar impulsando la cooperación en materia de seguridad operacional entre ambos países. En materia de seguridad operacional en el ámbito de la aviación, nuestro país trabaja en cooperación con los Estados Unidos a partir de diferentes acuerdos firmados en los últimos años, a través de la Junta de Investigación de Accidentes de Aviación Civil (JIAAC), organismo dependiente del Ministerio de Transporte, y la National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) de los Estados Unidos. En materia ferroviaria, Belgrano Cargas, dependiente del Ministerio de Transporte, también mantiene un acuerdo de cooperación y asistencia técnica junto a la Agencia de Comercio y Desarrollo de los Estados Unidos (USTDA, según sus siglas en inglés).
