Said Marco Decennial is an area of ​​global action that seeks to promote international cooperation in order to accelerate the transition to sustainable consumption and production, within the framework of the objective of sustainable development (ODS) 12, which is part of the Agenda 2030 the United Nations Organization. During the meeting, held under the virtual mode, the Progress Report 2019 of the 10YFP, which will be presented to the Political High Level Forum on Sustainable Development 2020 also discussed Argentina raised the need to deepen the search for funds for implementation of national projects on sustainable consumption and production and move towards the consolidation of the work of the Framework Decennial and ODS 12. They participated in the conference, along with Good, representatives of Colombia, Switzerland, Hungary and Japan, as well as the Secretariat of the 10YFP, in charge of the Economics Division of the United Nations Program for Environment (UNEP).

Cabe indicar que Argentina preside esta junta desde 2018. El mencionado Marco Decenal es un ámbito de acción global que busca promover la cooperación internacional a fin de acelerar la transición hacia el consumo y la producción sostenibles, en el marco del objetivo de desarrollo sostenible (ODS) 12, que forma parte de la Agenda 2030 de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas. Durante la reunión, realizada bajo la modalidad virtual, se discutió el informe de progreso 2019 del 10YFP, el que será presentado ante el Foro Político de Alto Nivel sobre Desarrollo Sostenible 2020. Asimismo, Argentina planteó la necesidad de profundizar la búsqueda de fondos para la implementación de proyectos nacionales en materia de consumo y producción sostenibles y avanzar hacia la consolidación del trabajo del Marco Decenal y el ODS 12. La participación de nuestro país se vincula en este encuentro con el proceso de elaboración de una Estrategia Nacional de Consumo y Producción Sostenibles, tarea en la que se encuentra abocado el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible de la Nación, en cuyo ámbito funciona la Secretaría de Cambio Climático. Participaron en la jornada, junto a Bueno, representantes de Colombia, Suiza, Hungría y Japón, además del Secretariado del 10YFP, a cargo de la División de Economía del Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA).
