La actividad se extiende durante tres semanas y se desarrolla en la plataforma del organismo de manera virtual.

El curso está dirigido a las áreas de "compras públicas" de las distintas Fuerzas del Ministerio de Seguridad de la Nación, como así también a las áreas legales que realizan los dictámenes jurídicos sobre las contrataciones y a la Unidad de Auditoría Interna del Ministerio.
Esta capacitación tiene como objeto fortalecer las competencias de los/ as funcionarios/ as nacionales que intervengan en la tramitación de las adquisiciones y contrataciones que se realizan en el ámbito de cada una de las Fuerzas Policiales y de Seguridad, bajo la órbita del Ministerio de Seguridad de la Nación. Para ello se brindan herramientas concretas de gestión contractual que permiten contratar con celeridad los insumos y servicios necesarios para afrontar la crisis sanitaria sin que ellas comprometan la integridad de las compras y contrataciones y sin sacrificar ninguno de los principios orientadores de toda contratación estatal, especificados en el Art. 3 del Régimen de Contrataciones del Estado Nacional aprobado por el Decreto Nº 1023/ 01.
En la apertura y bienvenida al curso, la Ministra Sabina Frederic destacó: "Las herramientas que este programa de capacitación va a ofrecer a las y los integrantes de las fuerzas de seguridad federales que se ocupan de la temática de contrataciones y compras del Estado va a ser un elemento central para darles conocimientos acerca de los procedimientos y metodologías con las que se rige la administración pública nacional".
Estas acciones sobre las cuales trabaja la capacitación apuntan a la generación de competencias y saberes institucionales para la transversalización de la transparencia en la administración pública nacional. Así lo destacó Félix Crous, titular de la Oficina Anticorrupción, en su mensaje de introducción a la actividad: "Nosotros estamos convencidos de que nuestra tarea principal es promover la integridad, la transparencia y, de este modo, prevenir con herramientas técnicas y con la promoción de conductas adecuadas la corrupción. Esta es una tarea central en el trabajo mancomunado con cada uno de los diferentes ministerios.
