"De a poquito estamos poniéndonos a punto físicamente porque estuvimos mucho tiempo sin poder entrenar e intentamos cuidarnos mucho con el tema de las lesiones. El cuerpo técnico nos ha llevado muy bien" cuenta Simonet, de 34 años y una de los símbolos del seleccionado nacional de handball.
"Empezamos con los entrenamientos de pesas, que hasta ahora lo veníamos haciendo en nuestras casas, y con pelota. Sobre la nueva rutina y sus protocolos, Simonet reconoce que es difícil: "Uno cuando llegaba al CeNARD pasaba por la puerta, y saludaba y charlaba con todos. Con respecto a la planificación de los partidos admite que hasta enero los Gladiadores están en un período de adaptación en donde no planifican nada más que ponerse a punto. "Todavía no hablamos de lo táctico ni técnico. Va a ser una planificación muy complicada porque no sólo pasa lo que pasaba antes, que la mayor parte del equipo está jugando en el exterior, sino que ahora también hay que sumarle la problemática que ellos ya están haciendo jugando y compitiendo".
Para Simonet, "nosotros intentaremos hacer un gran esfuerzo extra para compensar todo eso. Lo estamos haciendo y el equipo que está acá está muy concientizado de que así tiene que ser. Los Gladiadores estamos encendiendo las naves de nuevo".
En el final, Simonet piensa a futuro: "El mejor laburo que podemos hacer es olvidarnos que en pocos meses tenemos el Mundial de Egipto.
