NEW QUALITY PROTOCOLS THAT STRENGTHEN REGIONAL ECONOMIES

The Secretariat of Agribusiness Government Office reports that were
published today in the Official Gazette drafted Resolution No. 28/19, which
updates the Quality Protocol for Argentine wine; and Resolution No. 26/19,
which formalizes the Quality Protocol for blanched peanuts, roasted
peanuts, fried peanuts and peanut paste products.
Both regulations are an initiative of the Ministry of Food and Bioeconomy
to promote activity in regional economies through quality protocol,
enabling them to differentiate their production with the quality
seal "Alimentos Argentinos a natural choice."
In this regard Resolution No. 28/19, which updates the Quality Protocol for
Argentine wine, it defines the attributes for the monkey wines, bi and
trivarietales made with grapes from vineyards that have implemented Good
Agricultural Practices (GAP) can be distinguished with this seal of
quality. In addition, producers must respect physicochemical demonstrating
the genuineness and safety of wine and ensure absolute absence of defects,
characteristic analyzed by a sensory evaluation conducted by the National
Institute of Viticulture (INV) parameters. Protocol compliance will be
audited by independent third parties (private certifiers).
While Resolution No. 26/19, formalizes the Quality Protocol for blanched
peanuts, roasted peanuts, fried peanuts and peanut paste products, so that
businesses that make these foods interested in distinguishing their
products with the "Argentine Food a Natural Choice "and its English
version" Argentine Food Natural Choice "now have the ability to get it.

This Protocol establishes the need to implement GAP and Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP); the system Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point
(HACCP, for its acronym in English) and standard certification Food Safety
System Certification 22000 (FSSC 20000) or standard British Retail
Consortium (BRC). Additionally the raw material has to undergo strict
controls, and the final product must meet physicochemical parameters be
traceable and ensure adequate shelf life.
Significantly, the protocols are the fruit of public-private coordination
achieved under the tables of competitiveness, in order to make progress in
improving quality and differentiation in international markets.
Thus, there are now 52 products that can voluntarily adopt this seal of
quality, which is given for free for a renewable term every two years to
