MARKETING OF MEAT TRANSPORTED AVOIDED WITHOUT COLD CHAIN

To safeguard the health of potential consumers, agents of the sanitary
barrier of Senasa they seized nearly 350 kg of meat in Black River.

GENERAL ROCA (Black River) - The National Health Service and Food Quality
(Senasa) seized this weekend 347 kilograms of red meat with and without
bone during an inspection at the Post Bridge Dam Catriel in the province of
Rio Black, along with the staff of the National Gendarmerie, which is
located there permanently.
The merchandise was carried in a vehicle not authorized to transport food
from the Pampas town of May 25 to Cipolletti, without health documents and
missing the essential requirements of hygiene and sanitation.
Being products that have income prohibited the region and be transported
without complying with sanitary standards, nearly 350 kilograms of beef
with and without bone were seized and destroyed in accordance with
Resolution No. 38/2012.
With this kind of common shares, the Senasa protects and raises awareness
about the importance of protecting the health of consumers and safeguard
animal and plant health.
